AutoChem II 2920 from Micromeritics (USA) is a fully automated system for studying the activity of catalysts. Five types of analysis: temperature-programmed desorption, reduction, oxidation, pulsed chemisorption and BET surface area analysis.

With this instrument you can obtain data on active metal surface area, surface acidity, distribution and strength of active sites, etc. AutoChem II 2920 is also used to obtain the optimum temperature for maximum yield with this catalyst and other studies. The AutoChem II 2920 is more than just a catalyst analyzer. It can be used as a miniature reactor for process and adsorption studies.

AutoChem II 2920 has 12 input gas ports (4 each for preparation, carrier and analysis gases). AutoChem II 2920 is equipped with four high-precision controllers that provide precise, programmable control of gas flows and, accordingly, the volumes of gases used.

Liquid Vapor System:

Special Vapor Generator system (optional) allows vapors of volatile liquids such as pyridine to be used as chemisorbable probe molecules for acid site titration.

Pressurized chemisorption analysis:

AutoChem 2950HP has been specifically designed to carry out pressure chemisorption analysis from atmospheric pressure up to 1000 psi (6.9 MPa) and investigate the behavior of catalysts under conditions similar to real production plants. Standard detector is a high precision, high sensitivity, high linearity and corrosion resistant TPD that can be integrated and connected to an external detector such as a mass spectrometer for selective gas monitoring. Signals are easily synchronized by the MicroActive control software. Autochem II series can be equipped with a range of options to expand your analytical capabilities. Cooling options include the Kwikcooler, the Kwikcool Vortex and the CryoCooler II cryogenic option which extends the temperature range from -100ᄚC to 1100ᄚC.
