TRISTAR II PLUS Specific Surface Area Analyzer
Micromeritics ﾮ TriStar II Plus is a fully automated surface area and porosity analyzer that provides fast analysis with high accuracy. Advantages:
● TriStar II Plus is an efficient, high performance system with three sample ports operating simultaneously and independently. For added productivity, up to four devices can be controlled from one computer.
● With a standard nitrogen system, a surface area of just 0.01 m2/g can be measured. Krypton option extends surface area measurements to 0.001 m2/g.
● TriStar II Plus analyzes a variety of adsorbates, including argon, carbon dioxide and other non-corrosive gases such as butane, methane, and other light hydrocarbons.
● Headspace can be measured, calculated or manually entered providing maximum flexibility to accommodate special sample types and increase speed as needed.
● Isothermal housings provide a constant thermal profile along the entire length of both sampling and saturation pressure (Po) tubes.
● Micromeritics MicroActive data processing and control software allows the user to interactively calculate surface area and porosity. User-selectable data ranges via the GUI allow direct modeling for BET, t-Plot, Langmuir and DFT interpretation.
● Advanced software capabilities enable complete pore size distribution data with gas adsorption and mercury permeation overlay and advanced NLDFT.
Software
Intuitive Micromeritics MicroActive for TriStar II Plus control software allows the user to interactively evaluate isotherm data and reduce the time required to obtain surface area and porosity measurements. No need to generate reports to view the results. Calculations such as a BET surface area conversion plot can be easily created and adjusted. Selection bars allow quickly and easily selecting a range of data points. As a result, a summary of the values obtained as a result of the calculations is instantly updated. In the calculation window(s) the range of data used can be additionally refined.
Additional equipment for degassing:
FlowPrep 060 and VacPrep 061 degassers are available as accessories for Gemini analyzers. FlowPrep 060 is capable of heating the sample in an inert gas stream to remove contaminants from the surface. VacPrep 061 degasser uses heating with vacuum or inert gas purge. Both systems are compact, easy to use and allow up to 6 samples to be prepared simultaneously, increasing analyzer performance.
